FAQs

If reading this doesn't cover all the bases, you can always shoot me a text!

What area do you serve?

I work in Providence, Rhode Island and mainly serve the east side, especially Fox Point and the Hope Street area.

What happens if it rains, snows, storms or is extremely hot outside?

I work in all kinds of weather as long as I can get my car out of the driveway. While I am not intimidated by inclement weather, some of the dogs I walk are and its important to me to be sensitive to their needs. I ask clients to let me know if their dog will be able to enjoy a walk in the rain, wind or snow. If not, I'll offer a quick potty break and indoor playtime in lieu of their normal exercise. On extremely hot or cold days I limit all walks to 20 minutes because it is safest for the animals and for me.

How many dogs can you walk at once?

In general, I can walk up to 6 dogs at a time! I always walk dogs solo first and I'm very careful when introducing them to new friends. I would rather keep the group small than risk friction.

Will you work with any pets other than cats and dogs?

Absolutely! I have experience with lizards and rabbits and I would love to expand my horizons with other pets!

Are you insured?

I am insured and I can provide proof of insurance upon request.

Can you walk my dog-reactive dog?

Absolutely! I have a lot of experience with reactive dogs and I feel confident walking them. On any walk, I already avoid interactions with other dogs or humans and I only group dogs if I have permission, have already walked the dogs solo and know they do well with others. I'm extra careful with dog reactive dogs on solo walks and keep my distance from any potential triggers.

Can you feed my pet or give them their medication?

Yes! I make an effort to learn every pets routine down to the tiniest details and I'll generally be able to execute every step during a typical visit for no additional cost. That being said, if your pets ritual is particularly complex or if I often have to clean up messes then I would appreciate a tip.

How late do you work each day? Are you available on weekends and holidays?

I include late night visits in my "daycare package" (see more on the services page) but I'll otherwise try to stop working by 9pm the latest but I can make exceptions in case of emergency. I charge a 30% rate increase after 6. I am available most but not all weekends and holidays. I like to take Christmas day and Thanksgiving day off and I sometimes rest on the weekends. Don't hesitate to ask for my availability, I am often flexible and always communicative.

How do I get started?

You can start by getting in touch! My phone number, email and instagram are all listed below (and on the contact page). Be sure to tell me about your pet, what services you're looking for and what area you live in. I'll reach back out to schedule a (complimentary) meet and greet so that we can speak face to face (or rather, mask to mask) and go over the routine. I'll pick up a spare key and from there you can get set up on the scheduling app I use (timetopet). Easy peasy!
